Autumn. Repair. Replenish. Rejuvenate

Autumn is the season for letting go and releasing things that have been a burden. The leaves change colour due to the changes in chilly temperatures and they fall off making branches bare ready for new growth. Changes occur in preparation for the cold winter months ahead.

At Vital Effect, we believe Autumn is all about 3 simple words, Repair, Replenish and Rejuvenate.

REPAIR.

It’s time to restore what has been damaged by the hot summer months we’ve had.

  • Exfoliation:
This will remove that dry, dull and lifeless looking skin, therefore making it feel and look fresh and hydrated.
  • Moisturise:
Don’t forget to moisturise your skin. This will aid in protection, hydration and nourishment avoiding further damage caused by cold weather.
  • Let go:
Autumn is all about letting go in preparation for the new. Release negative emotions that you have been holding onto in order to repair damaged feelings and to move forward.

REPLENISH.

Its time to prepare and get ready for the cold wintery months ahead.

  • Sleep:
Rest and sleep will help you be able to approach and confront every day challenges as well as giving you that time for convalescence. This will help to avoid picking up infections.
  • Boost your immune system:
Prepare yourself before winter hits you by eating immune boosting foods such as garlic, ginger and fruits high antioxidants.
  • Seasonal fruit and vegetables:
Fresh produce is easy accessible when it’s in season. Introduce the array of fresh seasonal produce available into your everyday regime this Autumn. It not only tastes better, it also contains a higher nutritional value. Some of the seasonal produce available this Autumn is asparagus, fennel, broccoli, brussels sprouts and cauliflower.

REJUVENATE.

  • Exercise:
Gentle exercise and gentle movements help boost your circulation and increase blood flow. This increases endorphins without causing fatigue and distress.
  • Enjoyment:
Enjoy a night in with a hot cup of herbal tea and a book or a hot bath with Epson salts to rejuvenate and replenish the soul.
